How do you use KWFinder to conduct keyword research?
We can’t praise enough how easy Mangools makes it. But we’ll show you how to do it in just a few steps:
1. Type in your keyword, select the location you want to analyze and hit enter
2. Review your results
The KWFinder dashboard is classy and interactive, and it’s probably the best in the keyword analysis industry.
The left column displays a list of organic keywords relevant to your seed keyword (in this case, “content marketing”). You will also see suggestions based on the Google Suggest algorithm by clicking “Autocomplete” or “Questions.”
The following information will be shown for each keyword in the list of results:
- Trend: Search volume trend for the past 12 months.
- Search: Average monthly search volume.
- CPC: Average cost-per-click for Google Ads.
- PPC: Average competition for pay-per-click campaigns in Google Ads.
- KD: Keyword difficulty, which Mangools determines by calculating link profile strength of URLs ranking in the first SERP (Search Engine Results Page).
3. Perform SERP analysis for a keyword (if you’re so inclined)
You’ll see a list of the top SERPs for whatever keyword you want in the left column in the right column labelled “SERP Overview.” You can get to that page by clicking on any of those links.
A sequence of initials run through the top row of the SERP Overview:
- DA: Domain authority; predicts how well a site will rank on SERPs.
- PA: Page authority; predicts how well a webpage will rank on SERPs.
- CF: Citation flow; predicts how influential a URL is based on how many sites link to it.
- TF: Trust flow; predicts the trustworthiness of a site based on link quality (the credibility of the sources linking to that site).
- Links: Total number of external backlinks.
- FB: Total number of Facebook engagements.
- LPS: Link profile strength; Mangools’ estimate of the backlink quality of the page.
- EV: Estimated site visits per month that originate from search results for a certain keyword (“content marketing” in the example above).
By selecting the “Analyze SERP” icon, you can examine the top SERPs for any given keyword in greater detail. This will result in the development of a new Mangools app named SERPChecker.
SERPChecker is essentially a supplement to the details given in the SERP Overview. It appears as follows:
It displays the total number of search results as well as a variety of other metrics related to your keyword. It also gives you a nice visual representation of a lot of the information in KWFinder’s SERP Overview section (this data can be exported as a CSV file).

4. Create and download your keyword list
Simply pick the keywords you want to use in your list and press “Add to list” or “Export.”

5. Search by Domain to perform some competitive research
If there was one feature that previous versions of KWFinder lacked, it was the ability to recognise competitor keywords.
