    New Delhi: If you are a vegetarian, then important information has come out about your bones. A study has shown that people taking a wedge diet are more likely to have fractures. Studies conducted on more than 55 thousand people revealed that non-veg eaters are more at risk of fracture in bones than non-veg eaters. To get better results in this study conducted by EPIC-Oxford, participants were tracked and gathered the information for 18 years. 

    The Study

    55,000 people involved in this study, more than 2,000 percent feared it was vegetarian. The research found that people who do not consume meat are 43 percent more likely to get fractures. The study found that these participants had a total of 3,941 fractures over the course of 18 years, with the largest difference being found in hip fractures. Vegetarian people had 2.3 times higher risk of hip fracture than non-vegetarian people.

    The study, led by Dr. Tommy Tong, a new epidemiologist at the Newfield Department of Population Health, has been published in the BMC Medicine Journal. 

    The risk of such a fracture in a decade has also come to the fore in studies that the number of cases of fracture in every one thousand people is 20 more than non-veg eaters in every decade.

    At the same time, in addition to the highest risk of hip fracture, those taking a Vegan diet are also at a higher risk of fracture in the foot, wrist, ribs, hands, and other important places. However, it is still unclear whether the reason behind the fracture is the weakening or deterioration of bones or an accident. 

    However, a balanced vegetarian diet with a lot of fruit-green vegetables can improve the level of nutrients in the body and also increases the risk of heart diseases and diabetes.
