The COVID-19 vaccine will be available near Makar Sankranti in UP: Yogi Adityanath
“We started a campaign against COVID-19 in March 2020 under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and at the beginning of this year we could strongly say that the dry running of the vaccine will take place across the state on 5 January and that the vaccine will be available near Makar Sankranti.”
The chief minister added that on Saturday, a dry run of the vaccine was being conducted at some locations in the state.
While laying the foundation stone of the Advocate’s Building on Saturday at the collectorate campus, Adityanath was speaking.
On Friday, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) Subject Expert Committee (SEC) on COVID-19 recommended granting permission for restricted emergency use of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine Covishield, manufactured by the Serum Institute of India, paving the way for the country’s first COVID-19 shot to be rolled out in the next few days.
