Telangana extends another 10 days of lockdown
Telangana extends the lockdown for another 10 days and daily relaxation was extended from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Hyderabad: Telangana extends its lockdown for another ten days, with everyday relaxation extending to 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.
KT Rama Rao, Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, wrote on Twitter to announce that the cabinet meeting resolved to maintain Telangana lock-out for another 10 days, with daily relaxation ranging from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is also a little recovery of economic activity. Guidelines will soon be provided.”
In another tweet, KTR stated, “Cabinet has agreed that higher education students would be given priority vaccination so that they can travel safely.”
Previously, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had, as a result of the increase in coronavirus infections, announced a 10-day state lock-down on May 12th which was then extended on May 18th. In addition, the state government has taken strong measures against the violators of the lockdown guideline.
Telangana recorded 3,527 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, raising an active caseload of the State Health Department to 37,793. Telangana also recorded 19 deaths associated with COVIDs and 3,982 24-hour recoveries.
