In his distinguished cricketing career, former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni broke many records. The record-breaking room of the 39-year-old continues even after his international retirement.

Dhoni now has 30 million followers on Instagram, a social media site where he released his retirement message last year, reports UNB.

His August 15, 2020 retirement message read: “Thanks a lot for your love and support throughout. From 1929 hours, consider me as retired.”

So far, Instagram has won an impressive 37.2 million views.

Dhoni, who debuted for India in 2004, scored 10,773 runs in 350 days – the eleventh highest tally ever. He has played 90 tests in his 16-year career and 98 T20 matches.

In Test Cricket from 2008 until 2014, the former wicket keeper-batsman also captained the Indian national team, with the game being limited from 2007 to 2016.

Dhoni’s successor, Virat Kohli, is however at the top of the list with 88,7 million Instagram supporters. ‘Master Blaster’ Sachin Tendulkar, with more than 27.5 million followers, occupies the third position.
