PM Modi at the all-party meeting: Covid vaccine could be ready in just a few weeks waiting for the nod of experts

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is discussing the latest coronavirus pandemic situation in India at an all-party meeting digitally with leaders of different political parties and leading union ministers.
In addressing Modi’s conference, the PM said Indian scientists were extremely optimistic that their effort to develop a Covid vaccine would succeed. “The world is keeping a watch on the cheapest and safe vaccine. That is why the world is watching India,” said Modi.
PM Modi said the nation will launch the Covid 19 immunization program when experts start nodding at the all-party meeting.
As far as Covid 19 vaccine costs are concerned, PM Modi claimed that the Central Government is negotiating the cost of the vaccine with the State Governments and that the top priority would be to preserve public health.
‘Waiting is not long for coronavirus vaccine’ ‘
PM Modi also said experts think that waiting for a vaccine for coronavirus is not long, it may be ready in a few weeks.
The members of various parties have reportedly been asked by PM Modi to submit their suggestions even in writing. “Public health will be a top priority as far as Covid-19 vaccine pricing is concerned, states will be fully involved,” said Modi.
In the meantime, PTI quoted the state sources that the Covid-19 vaccine will first be provided to health staff, then to frontline workers. PTI quoted government sources.
The virtual meeting began at approximately 10:30 a.m. and was invited by floor leaders from all parties in Loc Sabha and Sabha Rajya.
According to sources, about 12 leaders from influential political parties with five or more parliamentarians will talk at the conference.
The opposition leaders are expected to challenge the Government of Modi on the expected availability and distribution of the coronavirus vaccine.
This is the government’s second all-party meeting to address Covid-19 since the outbreak of the pandemic of coronavirus.

The meeting will be held in Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, and Pune on the days following PM Modi’s visit, to review Covid-19’s development activities there.
