Hitch – Bottles of the future

Hitch – Bottles of the future

Hitch — Together with your bottle and a Cup. The Hitch is a full-size water bottle with a barista cup hidden inside that can be removed. It is the future of carrying water bottles with you! Go for zero waste & carry better.

Who Build Hitch?

David Silverander & Sky Gilbar are the founders of Hitch.

David Silverander brings discipline and commitment to everything he does as a lifelong endurance athlete. After graduating with a BA in Yale Philosophy, David worked for Rabbit, in the company’s athletic apparel segment in Silicon Valley as a product manager with his skills he ended up being the COO of the company. He gained know-how in the fields of production and logistics that were invaluable to get Hitch off the ground. He enjoys the outside with those he loves – including his wife Kate, an elite racer – and is enthusiastic about preserving the environment for future generations. David is a Californian native of Santa Barbara.

Sky Gilbar has been involved with global brands including Google and Coca-cola, as well as social impact projects like Parker Clay, Yellow Leaf Hammocks, and Kaibae Foods. Sky Gilbar is an experienced innovation designer and strategist. He is a consultant for several socially aware brands and a mentor for start-up entrepreneurs. Sky founded Snapwire, a global platform for connecting photographers with brands, before creating Hitch.

It is the first-ever reusable water bottle with a cup of coffee hidden inside to help fight the 300 billion cups which end up every year in sites. The reusable cup is low, which enables you to bring one water bottle with you, which is something aware consumers already carry.

What makes the product interesting?

Hitch is the first complete bottle of water with an interior hidden removable barista cup. Full dimensions of the bottle and cup (18 oz / 12 oz cup), double-walled, vacuum-insulated, stainless steel, BPA free and leakproof. You love to go zero waste, and better carry with you with a bottle and a cup that is ever with you.

They spoke to lots of persons who are wearing reusable water bottles when we started making Hitch, and most would not be wearing a reusable cup since it was either far too much or too easy to forget at home.

Simply making a small water bottle and a small cup would not cut – people needed a full-size water bottle for the entire day, an efficient and easy to hold space for reusable cup large enough to make standard coffee beverages with a lid that did not leak out. We wanted it to be so easy, in fact, to make zero waste available.

They include every hitch with a FREE Bottle Protector. It’s a weather-resistant flexible cap which fits on your bottle. Protect the lid on top, and use it to protect the bottom of your bottle when your cup is out.
