Gmail now shows Google Meet on the dashboard

Google Meet is now available for Gmail users. Video conferencing apps with a one-third lockdown are the only way to keep life ordinary. While Zoom’s video conference app has been in high demand, the premium video conferencing app from Google is free.


Google meet option can now be seen on the left side of the Gmail dashboard with a new section stated as “Meet”.

As suggested by company people can now easily start a meeting OR join a meeting directly from Gmail.

Google claimed that Meet had 3 million new users daily and that it had 100 million daily users last week. “Privacy and security are essential no matter if a Doctor shares information on confidential health with a patient, a financial adviser who hosts a clientele, or people who are virtually connected for graduations, holidays, and happy times with each other,” read the blog.

The website of and mobile applications for iOS or Android provides free Google Meet. If you have a Gmail account, you can sign up on for your Meet Account. The meet application can be a good alternative to zooming because the app allows a single video call for more than 100 people.
